I’m Raul Fernandez, owner of Escapa Expert.
I provide engineering expert witness services in intellectual property and products liability.
Background
I am a licensed mechanical engineer with 40 continuous years of education, industrial practice, applied research, and academic instruction. I currently serve as Professor in Practice in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington, teaching courses in engineering design and dimensional metrology.
Over this long career span I have completed significant assignments in product instrumentation and test, industrial robotics, manufacturing automation, machine control, software development, fluid power modeling, dimensional metrology, blueprint analysis, and surgical device development, including licensed patent work.
My multidisciplinary expertise and honed written and front-of-the-room presentation skills provide effective expert witness support in products liability and IP.
Expert Experience
My expert witness portfolio includes liability and forensics (industrial fatality) as well as IP cases, where I have provided opinions on infringement, obviousness, claim construction, and Inter Partes Review.
